Catechists
Catechists are defined in canon law as “lay members of the Christians faithful, duly instructed and outstanding in Christian life, who devote themselves to setting forth the teachings of the Gospel and organizing liturgies and works of charity under the direction of a missionary.
In 2018, Pope Francis told a conference on the role that “being a catechist, this is the vocation, not working as a catechist.”

The Catechism of the Catholic Church in #2204 teaches that "The Christian family constitutes a specific revelation and realization of ecclesial communion, and for this reason it can and should be called a domestic church. It is a community of faith, hope, and charity; it assumes singular importance in the Church, as is evident in the New Testament.
